Special thanks to the Roanoke City Parks & Recreation Department for inviting us to attend their Back to School PlayPalooza event held at the beautiful Washington Park on Friday. The event featured a rock climbing wall, basketball, a showing of Mufasa: A Lion King, and various vendors. (Also, the new swimming pool is amazing)!

Our Chief Development Officer, Jill Sluss, represented FSRV and enjoyed speaking with the attendees!

Special thanks to the amazing youth of Second Presbyterian Church in Roanoke who chose FSRV as their Mini Mission Project for the day! They transformed our entrance and courtyard by pulling a ton of weeds and spreading mulch even though it was pouring rain! We so appreciate their energy & help!

We will have pairs of amazing and well-known individuals competing to determine which can raise the most funding for FSRV, a cocktail hour with wonderful networking and live music, a silent auction with something for everyone, caricatures by the incredible Kyle Edgell - Artist & Humor Professional, and a 50/50 raffle!
