When it’s cold enough to feel like the Alaska frontier, you lean into it. Our Assisted Living residents have embraced the winter fun with a Moose mixer, frontier and Alaska-themed activities and crafts, and even a confidence course to kick off the new year. A great reminder that trying something new-and having confidence in ourselves-can make any season a little brighter.

We’ve been keeping the winter blues away with lots of indoor fun at the NRC & Memory Care Unit! Balloon battles, curling, and drum fitness! We also celebrated Dolly Parton’s birthday in true Dolly style with a “Here we Strum Again” party led by Anderson Music Therapy, a special visit from the RSO, and residents creating their own coat of many colors.

Each of them consistently goes above and beyond for their residents and patients-showing reliability, compassion, and dedication. Their proactive approach, positive attitudes, and commitment to early intervention and exceptional care make a real difference in the lives of our residents and their families. We are lucky to have them as part of our team.

As we wrap up the Christmas season at Brandon Oaks, we’re so grateful for all the moments that made it truly special. From the North Cross 5th graders sharing their creativity by making ornaments for our lobby tree, to members of the Brandon Oaks Auxiliary packing 100 stockings for our Nursing & Rehab Center and Memory Care residents -with help from our dedicated staff and volunteers -every act of kindness added to the joy of the season. On Christmas Day, Santa’s sleigh made a special stop, delivering gifts from Secret Santa’s and the stockings, bringing smiles to residents throughout our community.
A wonderful Christmas for all, made possible by so many caring hearts.

Our Independent and Assisted Living Holiday Party was full of festive fun! Residents mingled over heavy hors d’oeuvres, showed off their Christmas attire and took turns at karaoke for lots of laughs and holiday cheer.

Christmas cheer has been in full swing at our Nursing & Rehab Center this week! From Grinchy Bingo and a tacky holiday fashion show to Jingle & Mingle with the Henry Downing Band, our residents and staff have been soaking up the season together. We wrapped things up with our Administrator, Esteban Duran Ballen, and volunteer Deron Tiffany Brown spreading a little extra joy by handing out gifts to our staff-just a small thank you for all they do each and every day.
