Several members of our home office and community leadership teams had the pleasure of attending the Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) Spring Conference in Roanoke this week.

From thought-provoking sessions to meaningful conversations with others in the senior living space, we walked away inspired and energized. A key takeaway from the sessions was the importance of continuously igniting purpose for both our residents and our team members.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow alongside such passionate professionals. Looking forward to putting these insights into action!

We recently brought together our Life Enrichment and Sales teams for a collaborative retreat filled with valuable insights, hands-on workshops, and a renewed shared vision for the work we do.

One of the highlights of our time together focused on capturing the perfect photo - those authentic moments that truly reflect a day in the life of our residents. And what better way to practice than by turning the camera on ourselves?

Our team members stepped in as models, giving us the chance to experiment, get creative, and refine how we tell our story through images.
It was a fun and inspiring experience that sparked new ideas on how to showcase what makes our communities so special. At the heart of it all is what matters most - the people.

🥬 Lettuce show you a little bit of what we've been up to in Inspiritás-Memory Care at The Westmont at Short Pump Residential, Assisted Living, & Memory Care. Our new hydroponic garden has kept us busy growing everything from herbs and lettuce to flowers and microgreens. 🌱

Residents and team member alike have enjoyed showing off their green thumbs to grow some very impressive harvest. We recently celebrated a meaningful and hands-on Hydroponic Garden Transfer Day to carefully transfer seedlings into the system. From gently handling the plants to observing the roots and nutrient-rich water, the experience offered wonderful sensory engagement and sparked joyful conversation for our residents and team members. We can't wait to see how our next batch of plants will turn out!

In honor of Veteran's Day, we are reminiscing on our last Dream Flights expedition where we had the privilege of providing several of our veteran residents with the flight of a lifetime in a restored WWII-era bi-plane.

We fondly look back on this day and treasure the memories made with these modern-day heroes! Our country is shaped by the sacrifices they have made, and it is our privilege to serve them each day in our communities. Today, and every day, we honor their bravery.

Spirit Week is in full swing at RUI, and our team members and residents are loving every moment! 🎃
We kicked things off with Monster Mash Monday, showing off our best orange-and-black looks, then doubled the fun on Twinning Tuesday with matching outfits galore. Halftime Wednesday brought out our inner super fans as we proudly repped our favorite teams.
This week is all about creativity, connection, and community spirit—and we can’t get enough of it! 🧡
