Happy 4th of July from Friendship Assisted Living! 🇺🇸

We had a blast celebrating Independence Day with our residents, families, and friends.

Complete with a classic cookout under the tent, sizzling hot dogs and hamburgers, and an Apollo 11 model rocket launch that truly took things to new heights!

A big thank you to 40 Years After for filling the air with great music all afternoon.

It was a day full of joy, laughter, and community, just the way it should be.

Thank you to everyone who came out to make it so special!

We had an incredible time this morning with residents and staff trying something new—axe throwing! The room was filled with laughter, cheers, and even a few impressive bullseyes!

Our residents showed off their skills and had a blast, proving once again that fun and friendship have no age limit.

We are so grateful to celebrate with Mrs. Sis today for her 100th birthday! What an incredible milestone to have in one’s life! With her sweet smile and joyful personality she’s always lifting others up.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the 6th Annual Golf Tournament a success, all to benefit our Friendship Fund!

Today’s activity had everyone feeling like a quick-draw cowboy in the Wild West! Our residents, staff, and visiting family members stepped up for the Lone Star Showdown—a fast-paced target challenge that brought out lots of cheers and competitive spirit.

With a record time of 3.87 seconds, we had some impressive sharpshooters in the mix! The room was full of laughter, encouragement, and excitement as everyone took their turn and celebrated each other’s wins.

We love seeing our community come together for fun, connection, and just a little friendly rivalry!

This evening was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and lots of smiles as our residents enjoyed a lively evening featuring Ring Toss and Balloon Volleyball!

Whether cheering each other on or showing off their aim and reflexes, everyone got in on the action. It was heartwarming to see our community come together in such a joyful and active way.

These moments of play not only bring us closer but also keep our minds sharp and our spirits high. We’re grateful for the memories made and the connections strengthened tonight!

Congratulations to our FIVE Friendship team members who were recognized by United Way of Virginia's Blue Ridge for their unsung contributions in the Roanoke Valley. They will be honored at United Way Night at the Salem Red Sox game this Friday, June 6. If you're out at the game, please cheer them on!

Alan, which most of us know as “Lewis”, has been a dedicated employee with our Friendship family for more than 5 years.

He is a wonderful team player and always has a smile on his face. He takes on his duties with a positive approach and has really stepped up in assisting with audits and ensuring regulations are being followed.

We are so fortunate to have Lewis and appreciate all that he does for our residents and fellow team members.
