Last night, Jelly Roll stepped onto the Grammy stage, pulled out a small Bible, and gave credit to Jesus, the One who met him in his darkest days, and to his wife who stuck by his side.

There are so many parallels to Killing Kyle Orth. (But we are a long way from that size of stage!)

Last night he shared a moment from a tiny jail cell where all he had was a Bible and a radio. Two things, he said, that convinced him his life could still change: God and music.

In Kyle’s story it’s God - and His people.

But last night was one more reminder that a relationship with Jesus isn’t reserved for the polished or the put-together.

He finished with four simple words:
“I love You, Lord.”

We have all fallen short but with Christ there is restoration.

God doesn’t call the qualified.
He qualifies the called.
