For many of our clients, this isn’t just about hunger—it’s about health. Numerous medications require food to be taken alongside them to avoid harmful side effects, which can lead to reduced adherence and poorer health outcomes.
Due to recent cuts in Ryan White Part B funding, we unfortunately lost support for our food pantry. But thanks to the generosity of community partners like Greene Memorial United Methodist Church and Sunbeam Discount Bakery, we’re still able to provide food bags to clients receiving services through the Council of Community Services Health Services.
We’re deeply grateful for these community partners who help us ensure that no one has to choose between food and their health.

We’re proud to announce that our Senior Medical Case Manager, Irene Bethel-Vineyard, has been awarded a scholarship to attend the VCU HIV & Aging Case Management Training through the VCU Center on Aging’s Creating Interprofessional Readiness for Complex & Aging Adults (CIRCAA) program.
This intensive 9-month training reflects Irene’s deep commitment to advancing care for aging adults living with HIV. Her dedication ensures that CCS Health Services continues to lead with compassion, expertise, and readiness to meet the evolving needs of our community.
