Free Yoga for the People's Mission:
As a public health and better living initiative, to offer the people of the Roanoke Valley a one-hour FREE, or low-cost, yoga class, multiple times a week, in a convenient public space, or online, at little or no charge. We believe yoga poses (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and mindfulness (meditation and intention-setting) will help Roanoke and its

citizens to live, work and play together better. Come join us and start, or end, your day off right!

• No experience necessary - just a positive attitude, a willingness to try, and a promise to listen to your body, and not hurt or judge yourself or others. COST:
• FREE (Donations accepted - cash, Venmo, PayPal.) WHEN:
• Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays


TIME:
• Monday evenings 5:30-6:30pm FREE (In person - Summer: Elmwood Park / Winter: Downtown main library auditorium)
• Tuesday mornings 9:00-10:00am $5 - Cave Spring Baptist Church
• Wednesday mornings 9:45-10:45am FREE - Glutox Health
• Wednesday evenings 5:30-6:30pm $5/10- Taubman Museum of Art
• Thursday mornings 9:00-10:00am $5 - Cave Spring Baptist Church
• Sunday mornings 10:30-11:30am $5/10 - Taubman Museum


WHERE:
• In-person = (Summer) Elmwood Park Stage or in grass nearby / (Winter) Downtown Library, Cave Spring Baptist Church, Glutox Health, Taubman Art Museum


NEEDS:
• BYOM = Bring Your Own Mat
• Dress in comfortable layers
• Bring Water
(Note: In summer, in case of inclement weather, we'll still be on the stage!)

Health Tricks:
1. Dark chocolate - lowers BP, decreases cortisol, increases nitric oxide
