The final countdown is on to the Robbinsdale Chamber of Commerce Meet and Greet on Monday, September 15th! The family fun event takes places from 5:30 - 7:30pm right on West Broadway between 41st and 42nd Ave. Over 40 booths will dot the sidewalks featuring businesses and organizations from the Robbinsdale Area. The event is free, will feature some great music and dance groups, and amazing door prizes will be given away throughout the evening!

Sign up deadline is this Friday – August 29th!

The 2025 Robbinsdale Main Street Meet and Greet is scheduled for Monday, September 15th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. I have attached the event letter and the sign-up sheet to this email. As you recall, there are a number of ways to participate in the event including having a booth along West Broadway, making a contribution to the event which helps the chamber purchase door prizes, or donate merchandise or gift certificates. Your involvement in the event ensures some great marketing exposure for your business or organization! To participate you can simply fill out and return the sign up sheet via mail or email.

The Golden Valley Arts & Music Festival is back on September 13, 2025.

MAG is sponsoring and jurying the Call for Art, and applications are open now through August 10. We’re inviting artists and fine crafters to apply – and there’s no application fee.

This event is a Golden Valley tradition, running for 16 years as the city’s premier arts and music celebration. After a short hiatus, it’s back and better than ever – with live music, food trucks, beer and wine, hands-on activities, and of course, an incredible lineup of local artists.

Booth Fees: $115 for Minnesota Artists Guild members, $135 for non-members

The Gathering is hosting its 2nd annual Back 2 School Party on August 17th! At this event, our church provides over 300 kids with backpacks, school supplies, hair cuts, school shirts & socks, and a whole lot of fun! They invite the whole family and have a grill out, carnival style games, bouncy house, face painting and MORE!
This year, they have over 400 kids signed up- we are expecting this to be an impactful day!

This is an incredible opportunity to make a difference for families in the community! I'd love to invite you to partner with us on this event! If you're interested, here's a couple of ways you can get involved:

1) Volunteer at the Event: We need a LOT of people to help make this event great! We have volunteer positions available in every area (school supplies, hair cuts, food, kids games, security, etc). Last year, we were able to have some of you come and represent Robbinsdale/Hennepin County- whether that is a social service, a volunteer program, etc. We'd love to do that again-if you work for a non profit, state/county entity, or are part of a community focused business, we'd love to talk to you!

2) Donate School Supplies, Money (Tax Deductible), or some type of service (are you a barber? a business owner?). We have many needs. If you're interested, there's 3 ways you can donate:

3) Spread the Word: if you know someone who would like to make a difference in the lives of families in a tangible way, please give them my contact info.

On August 11th, The Gathering is giving out FREE backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and clothes to get you ready for school! It’s almost time to go back 2 school, and we know that while it’s fun to prepare for school, it can be expensive! That’s why we want to hook you and your family up!
