We talk a lot about mitochondria, but what about your cell membranes? 🧬

The fats you eat literally build the structure of your 30 trillion cells.

In my latest podcast episode of the Lifestyle School Podcast, I’m breaking down:

- Why membranes are so important
- Which fats build them (and which break them)
- How industrial seed oils are made vs. natural fats
- And what The Big Fat Surprise revealed about how fat got demonized in nutrition science

You’re cutting calories. You’re trying to eat less. But you’re still tired, hungry, and stuck.
It’s not a lack of willpower—it’s a hormonal issue.

When leptin (your fullness hormone) and blood sugar are out of balance, your body resists weight loss.

You crave more. You burn less. You feel worse.

Inside Lifestyle School for Weight-Loss and my 8-week personalized coaching program, I teach you how to rebalance your hormones, stabilize blood sugar, and actually feel good while losing weight.

✨ This is what sustainable fat loss really looks like—no more starving, guessing, or burning out.

šŸ‘‰ Ever feel like you know what to do for your health…but can’t seem to make yourself do it?

It’s not a willpower problem. It’s a thought problem.

That’s why this week on the Lifestyle School Podcast we’re talking about the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model and how it can help you:

✨ Catch the automatic thoughts that sabotage your progress
✨ Reframe them into empowering ones
✨ Take small actions that actually stick
✨ And heal your metabolism from the inside out

When you change your thoughts, your feelings and behaviors follow—and that’s how real lifestyle change happens.

🚨 New Episode of the Lifestyle School Podcast

Episode 36: Connecting PCOS, Insulin Resistance & Metabolic Health

Most people think PCOS is just about ovaries or fertility. The truth? PCOS is a metabolic disorder—and it’s skyrocketing as insulin resistance rises in the U.S.

If you struggle with irregular cycles, weight gain, acne, or fatigue, your metabolism may be at the root.

The good news: PCOS and insulin resistance can be managed and even reversed. Inside Lifestyle School for Weight-Loss, I teach women how to balance blood sugar, lower insulin, and finally feel in control of their health again.

Most people in North America are low in vitamin D—and the consequences are bigger than you think. 🫣

Vitamin D isn’t just about bones. It impacts your immunity, blood sugar, mood, inflammation, and even your risk for chronic disease.

Here’s the truth ā¬†ļø about why you probably aren’t getting enough from sunlight or food—and why D3 + K2 (and magnesium!) are game-changers.

šŸ‘‰ Ready to stop guessing? Test your levels and aim for that functional sweet spot (50–80 ng/mL).

Your body has a built-in self-repair system… and most people never use it.

It’s called autophagy, and it’s like spring cleaning for your cells—removing damaged parts, lowering inflammation, protecting your brain, and even improving fat loss.

The problem? Our modern lifestyle—constant snacking, high blood sugar, poor sleep—keeps this repair mode switched OFF.

In this week’s Lifestyle School podcast episode, I’m breaking down:
āœ… What autophagy is (in simple terms)
āœ… Why it’s essential for long-term health & weight loss
āœ… How to activate it naturally with fasting, movement, and sleep

Your body isn’t broken—it just needs space to do its job. 🧹✨

Sometimes self-love means doing the hard thing:
šŸ’§ Drinking water before coffee
šŸ½ļø Saying no to food that doesn’t love you back
😓 Going to bed instead of scrolling
🚫 Saying no to what drains you

It’s not restriction. It’s protection.
It’s alignment. It’s love.

And here’s the truth:
šŸ’„ Weight loss won’t suddenly make you love your body.
That starts now.
In the messy middle.
With respect, action, and ownership.

This week on Lifestyle School, I’m sharing what real self-love looks like on a healing journey. It’s not always comfortable—but it’s always worth it.

In this week’s podcast episode of Lifestyle School, I’m breaking down the 5 truths you need to hear about the ā€œperfectā€ diet — including why it doesn’t exist and what to focus on instead.

šŸ‘‰ There’s no one-size-fits-all approach
šŸ‘‰ Real food is non-negotiable
šŸ‘‰ Your needs will change over time
šŸ‘‰ Bio-individuality is everything
šŸ‘‰ How you feel is the real measure of success

If you’ve ever felt frustrated that what used to work doesn’t anymore, or overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice online — this episode is for you. šŸŽ§

I’ve been keeping a secret. 🤫

Baby Plack is due to arrive January 2026. ✨

Our family couldn’t be more excited for this precious life to arrive. Our second rainbow baby. 🌈

It was by far my most difficult first trimester but I’m so grateful for our friends and church community who took such good care of us while I was stuck in bed. šŸ«¶šŸ»

Cheers to the second trimester! 🄳
