Today we celebrated Mario's birthday. Mario completed the year program at the Farm of Hope and now volunteers as a missionary so he can help others.

The Farm of Hope in Corpus Christi has a new missionary! Cassiano Silva had to return to Brazil to attend to his health, and Diego Lobeu has just arrived from Brazil. Here's what he wants to share with the people in the Diocese of Corpus Christi:
"I'm Diego Lobeu, and I am 43 years old. I'm Brazilian from the city of São Paulo. I have a daughter and four younger brothers. I got to know Fazenda da Esperança through the internet when I was looking for help to recover from alcohol addiction. I completed my journey at Fazenda da Esperança, and during that time, I got to know a lifestyle and a charism that captured my heart. I then became a missionary and continued to serve and give my life in this wonderful place. I've currently been at Fazenda da Esperança for six years and a few months, serving at several farms in Brazil. I have now been assigned to this mission here in Corpus Christi, Texas. I want to continue living out our charism and serving and helping our brothers and sisters in Christ to also free themselves from addictions, forgive, and find a new path following Christ, just as I did."
