We’re so happy to welcome Jessica Furman, our newest Occupational Therapist, to the Heart to Heart family! Jessica is currently seeing clients after school, so give us a call to book an appointment. We feel incredibly lucky to have her join our team here’s a little bit about Jessica and the wonderful work she brings to our community. Jessica is a pediatric occupational therapist who is passionate about working with children and helping them develop the skills needed to succeed in everyday activities, school, and social environments. She currently works as a school-based occupational therapist, where she supports students in building independence, improving classroom participation, and developing social and self-regulation skills. Jessica is dedicated to creating therapy sessions that are fun, engaging, and tailored to each child’s interests to encourage participation, confidence, and growth.
Jessica received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University and her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science from Misericordia University. She is a registered member of the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), is licensed in the state of New Jersey, and holds her School Occupational Therapy Certificate through the New Jersey Department of Education.
Jessica has experience working with a variety of students with diverse needs, primarily in school-based settings, including children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder, and Developmental Delays. She has collaborated with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support optimal student outcomes.
Her clinical experience includes supporting children in fine motor development, visual-motor integration, visual-perceptual skills, and sensory processing. She is committed to delivering evidence-based, client-centered care that empowers children and their families.
