Let's give a warm welcome to the latest member of the Generations Team: Niki Shafrir, MSW, LSW! Niki has broad experience in medical and geriatric social work. She earned her Master of Social Work from New York University in 2017, following a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science. Her career spans a variety of healthcare settings, including sub-acute rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient mental health services. Having lived and worked in diverse cultural settings, Niki brings a nuanced and culturally informed perspective to her practice. She is fluent in Hebrew, which often helps build rapport and trust with clients from similar backgrounds. Niki is passionate about promoting resilience, enhancing mental health outcomes, and guiding individuals toward clarity and meaningful connection during life’s more vulnerable moments.

Our Marketing Director, Laura Marie Huisking, is the co-president of TASS - The Alliance for Senior Services along with Jennifer van Dam from Brightview Senior Living Tenafly. As a company, we like to partner with other vetted and insured companies to bring seniors and their caregivers necessary education. This program was held at the Paramus Public Library and titled "Live Well. Age Better." Our next program will be held at 1:00pm on 2/26 at the Hillsdale Library.
