Weight stigma involves bias based on body size, affecting medical care, job opportunities, and social interactions. It leads to unfounded beliefs about individuals' lifestyles, health, and capabilities, resulting in exclusion. To combat it, we must advocate for body neutrality, create inclusive spaces, and question societal standards that equate thinness with value. Recognizing factors influencing weight and discussing health with empathy is crucial. By fostering acceptance and respect, we can reduce the negative impacts of weight stigma on individuals and communities.
