Tax season is rapidly approaching. Tips in being prepared: locate past year tax return. gather all medical bill receipts, if own property locate property tax statements, locate any contributions or donation receipts, any child care information including their FIN or Social security number, contribute additional amounts to your 401K or 457, SEP, IRA this could lower your taxes on income.

The Health Care Reform Act says it is suppose to be a shared responsibility act where the government, medical providers, upper and middle class people etc share the cost, so everyone can have insurance. I swear this act has taken me down a level making it very difficult for so-called middle class people like myself to make ends meet. Middle class endure less medical coverage and increased medical cost this doesn't hurt the rich. Government should endure ALL the cost by re-examining the medicaid program. After all this is why we are paying the officials to deal with turbulent economic times and needs.

IRS is not open for business until 1/20/2015 and could take 7 to 10 days to receive refund after e-filing because the IRS funding will not be available until the 27th or 28th of Jan. But call me to process your return using your last pay stub or if possess w2 can still prepare return, put return on hold until IRS is ready, then I will expedite. The effects of the health care reform act can increase or decrease your tax refund. If employer deducted monthly premiums the amount should show up on your w2 in box 12 using code DD, then you have no fee responsibility to health care cost.
