Back in October my dad had been hospitalized due to a few different reasons. He had fallen 3 times since July 2025. He spent 1 week in the hospital and 4 weeks in a rehab facility. While he was in the hospital, I was blessed to connect with Lynne Peters through a mutual friend. She was truly a godsend from the start! My family and I knew we had to find a safer place for him and my mom. It was a daunting task and I was uncertain where to begin or what to look for, but she guided me every step of the way and made quick arrangements for walkthroughs to all the places I asked her to. She directed us to the perfect place for my parents! They moved in over the weekend and thanks to her, this overwhelming task was 100% manageable and went as seamless as I could have ever hoped! It was a process of about 5 months and she had been checking in on us and always let us know she was there if we needed anything, a true testament of her dedication and compassion! Will absolutely recommend Next Step and be forever thankful for Lynne!

We know making this call can feel overwhelming. Take a breath — you don’t have to have everything figured out. 💛

To make our time together smooth and stress-free, it’s helpful (but not required!) to have a few basics ready:

• Your name + best phone number
• Your loved one’s name
• Age and date of birth
• Current location (home, hospital, rehab, assisted living, etc.)
• Preferred area for care
• Other family members involved
• Veteran status (including spouse)

That’s it. No pressure. No commitment. Just a conversation to help you understand your options.
