Thank you, my child — for choosing me 🥰
Thank you for the tiny hugs, the sparkling eyes, the times you nuzzle into my chest as if to say, “It feels so safe here, Mama.”
Has anyone ever said that being a mother is a lonely journey...
Sometimes, I find that to be true.
Like when I sit up in the middle of the night, holding you under the dim nightlight, softly singing, “Sleep now, my love...,” while my heart quietly wishes someone would ask me, “Are you tired, Mama?”
Like when the house is messy, my hair’s a mess, the dinner has gone cold — yet you still smile, wrap your arms around me and say, “You’re mine.”
Suddenly... everything becomes strangely gentle.
There are times I feel exhausted, like I’m not as capable as other mothers.
But then I realize — you don’t need me to be a superhero.
You only need me to be here.
You only need me not to let go.
Since you arrived, I’ve had to relearn everything — patience, how to love, how to forgive myself.
And the greatest miracle is… while I thought I was raising you, it turns out… you were helping me grow once more.
💛 Being a mother isn’t easy. But being your mother — that is the gentlest thing in my life.
