ROCovery Fitness is a peer-led supportive community of physically active individuals brought together by sober living. Our goal is to foster a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for healing and recovery—To help individuals rediscover their inner strength and resilience through fun, fitness and sober social connection. We are a not-for-profit community-based social care provider bringing fi

tness and non-fitness based classes and events as well as peer recovery support services to individuals with SUD in our community. All of our programs are free and open to ANYONE with at least 48-hours of continuous sobriety. We welcome friends, family members and ANYONE who chooses to live a sober lifestyle.

Recovery happens one day at a time—and that’s exactly what OMAAT (One Mile At A Time) is all about! ROCovery 24-Hour Run/Walk Challenge is for community, connection, recovery, and movement💙🤝🏃 The event lasts 24 hours, 1pm 4/18/2026 to 1pm 4/19/2026, to reflect the recovery mindset of focusing on today, one step at a time.

You do not have to run for 24 hours😅 This is your race. Run or Walk: 1 mile, 5K, a marathon, 100 miles, or anything in between. Set your own distance. Move at your own pace. Every step supports recovery☺️

Barbell 101 is more than weightlifting —it’s about learning how to move through challenge.

Today we practiced safe bailing from our squats. How to get out when the lift doesn’t go as planned. How to stay calm under load. How to protect ourselves when we realize we need to let go.

There’s a clear parallel to life.

Things won’t always move smoothly. Sometimes the plan changes mid-rep. Sometimes the weight is heavier than expected.

The question becomes: Do we know how to respond when it’s time to bail?

Do we panic—or do we trust what we’ve practiced?

Do we freeze—or do we move with intention and self-respect?

Strength isn’t just measured by how much we lift. It’s measured by awareness, adaptability, and knowing when to step away safely so we can come back and try again 🤍

Training prepares us for more than the barbell—it prepares us for life under load.

Come get some, every Tuesday morning at 6:30 am. You are stronger than you realize. You can do more than you think. Just showing up is 90% of the work (especially on days like today). Getting comfortable being uncomfortable—that’s what it’s all about!

A little wind didn’t hold us back💨 We showed up at Friday Night Trail Run ready to go! FNTR goes on all year long, no matter the season and in almost any weather😁 We run at a different location each week, so keep an eye on our website and socials for details👀

Tonight’s run took us to Fellows Road Park, giving us a chance to check out the trail we’ll be using for ROCovery 24-Hour Run/Walk Challenge in April.
