Richly Blessed Local

Richly Blessed Local An initiative dedicated to weaving communities together via love for good, local food (with all its roots!) and knowledge/skill sharing.

We host Community Market Days in Rochester to share these values and do good work in our community To us, being Blessed is knowing where your food came from and feeling some sort of connection to it. We're aiming to connect local producers and makers with the families of Greater Rochester by providing ease of access and kitchen inspiration. This will strengthen our communities by increasing wellness in body, mind, and spirit.

And they’re off! Two bundles of clothing — one kids, one adults. All varying sizes, and mostly summer wear. These are heading to Mary’s Place in Rochester, an organization serving refugees. ❤️

Hand-selected for quality and variety that we hope will go to good use

Here is what they’re in need of if you’re curious:
Diapers
Household Items
Personal Hygiene
Clothing

Thanks to everyone who donated to our clothing swap. We received 6 bundles of clothing, and 5 people took things home. Every time we host a swap we get lots of stuff to donate — it’s always a win-win.

More clothing going out soon! Stay tuned to hear how we distribute it.

We kicked off year two of our community project, Community Market Days, this past Wednesday. People thank us all of the time for doing this, and it’s always a surprise. We love doing it so much that the hard work is often forgotten, especially when we are finally in person with you all - enjoying what we’ve co-created. We hope to remind everyone that this project is only made possible through the community coming together for shared experiences. In a time where technology is highly addictive and can allow us to bypass human interactions, we find this space to be vital. Everyone is welcome to join us in creating the good they want to see in their community.

The children are here to remind us how to be good humans if we’ve forgotten 🥰

Week 3 loading… we are blessed to spend 11 weeks with our community. Wednesdays 4-7pm, find us on the Granger lawn of Asbury First United Methodist Church. Free lawn games, and kid’s activities!

This week’s vendor line up:

Fresh brewed iced tea, tea tins, & more at Soteria Coop’s “mobile tea lounge”!

Countertop Creamery is with us - they’re a homemade ice cream truck that serves many locally sourced flavors - they also have non-dairy options.

Sourdough treats galore from Peace of Grain, PLUS they are our workshop of the week! Sample their tasty baked goods and learn about the process of making sourdough (FREE) @ 5:30PM

Taylor of Hine Hives is back with some 2024 season honey! It is lighter, and sweeter than fall honey - but she’s got both so you can pick your preference! She’s also got her demo table and fun things for kids to learn about bees.

Every week we have a gorgeous selection of organic produce from Homesteads for Hope. This week’s selection is: snap peas (limited), cucumbers (green and yellow), beets, lettuce, zucchini + summer squash, carrots, and bunches of fresh BASIL.

While you’re buying veggies, feast on a free sample of Muranda Cheese’s “Farmhouse Parm”. We’ll also have free samples of TruFru chocolate covered berries.

Olivia Bryn Cakes is back with us with tasty cakes, cookies, and other cake-themed goodies!

Tail Waggin’ Treats is back with the goods for your fur babe!

Our friend Carter from The Next Generation and You is back, he’s got a new nature-based activity ready to share with kids (and adults!)

Canning with Colette will be with us with her AMAZING jams and jellies, including low/no sugar options - she won’t be back for a little while, so don’t miss her this week.

The Winton Branch Library is back and will be bringing fun surprises for the kids.

There’s no market next week - so stop by and catch us this week!
