We would like to acknowledge Jessica Covey from Transitions as the crowning glory, similar to the icing on a cake! However, a more apt description would be the icing on the cookies!!! We appreciate her kindness in providing cookies and decorations, which enabled us to have a fantastic time decorating. The experience was delightful for everyone, and our tummies were also pleased!!!

It's time for gift giving! 🎁
Does the beloved senior citizen in your life really need another sweater? Lap blanket? Pair of socks? Mug with hot cocoa mix? Pair of pajamas?
Probably not.
They long for your visits. ❤️
They love to get mail. ✉️
They wait for their phones to ring. 📱
They want to tell you their stories...and they want you to be an active listener. They don't want you to say, "You already told me that." They don't want to be corrected if they're mixed up about a date, the address of their childhood home, their old neighbor's name. Don't correct them. Just Listen. Be IN THE MOMENT. Ask questions. Be gentle with them. Don't rush them. Tell them what a wonderful mom, dad, aunt, uncle, etc they've been. Tell them stories about times you've shared, vacations you took together, favorite recipes they made...
Make a promise to visit more often this year and KEEP THAT PROMISE! You won't regret it.
This is a gift you'll be glad you gave.
