It has been one year since the opening of the Mayo Clinic Health System Diagnostic Imaging and Sports Medicine Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin — and what a year it has been!

In just 12 months, our incredible radiology team performed:
✨ 5,447 MRI exams
✨ 5,337 CT exams
✨ 4,611 X-rays
✨ 1,201 ultrasound exams

Behind every scan is a dedicated team whose hard work, expertise, and compassion make this possible. From the first planning meeting to today’s patient care, your commitment shines through.

Congratulations to Dr. Jeffrey A. Stone, FACR, FASSR, who was invited to deliver the Charles D. Williams Legacy Lecture at the 2025 Florida Radiological Society Annual Meeting in Fort Lauderdale.

His lecture, “Spine Imaging Intervention: Past, Present and Future,” highlighted his dedication and lasting impact on the field of radiology.

🧸✨ A Bright New Space for Children’s Imaging

We’re proud to be part of the new Mayo Clinic Children’s Center — a space designed with kids and families at its heart.

Our pediatric radiology team now provides advanced imaging in a bright, calming environment, thoughtfully created to ease fear and build trust. A special highlight: a child-size educational mock MRI scanner, where kids can learn what to expect before their exam — helping reduce fear and create a more comfortable experience.

With natural light, playful features, and the Child Life Program by their side, young patients and families can feel more at ease during imaging visits.

Bringing care closer together — for children, and for those who love them. 💙

Thirteen exceptional Diagnostic Radiology residents were honored at our annual Resident Recognition Dinner & Graduation — a proud tradition since the program began in 1972. 🌟

The evening featured inspiring speeches from:

📣 Dr. Matthew Frick, Associate Chair of Education
📣 Dr. Eric Williamson, Incoming Chair of Radiology

We're proud to share that nine of the graduates will continue their journey at Mayo Clinic through fellowship programs in:

🔹 Musculoskeletal Imaging
🔹 Mammography/Women’s Imaging
🔹 Neuroradiology

The remaining graduates are stepping into private practice, continuing education, and teleradiology roles, taking their expertise nationwide. 🩻✨

Mayo Radiology Nuclear Medicine Imaging Students represented the program with excellence at this year’s Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging meeting. They delivered two impressive research presentations — with one earning Second Place recognition for its contribution to the field.

The week also offered a chance to unwind, with a bit of goat therapy 🐐 providing a fun and memorable break from the conference schedule.
