Research Spotlight: Maggie Connolly, MD (completing PCCM Fellowship this month) had her work published in the Chest Journal this week! Maggie and others explored the diagnostic impact of race-neutral PFTs through retrospective analysis of thousands of PFTs performed at URMC.

In addition to her primary manuscript, Maggie also contributed to another article published in Chest this week (a case-based discussion of race-neutral PFT interpretation)!

Fellow Research Spotlight: Tetsuro Maeda, MD (3rd year Pulm/Crit Fellow) contributed to a recent publication in the Journal of Critical Care Medicine! Fellow Publication: Tetsuro Maeda, MD (3rd year Pulm/Crit Fellow) authored a case report of a trauma patient who was found to have a pulmonary embolism on endobronchial ultrasound. This case highlights the importance of evaluating the pulmonary vasculature during EBUS in patients at risk for PE. ✍️
