Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men, and risks are higher for Black men and those with a family history. If you’re age 45–69 (or 40+ with higher risk), talk with your provider about screening options like PSA tests. Knowing your personal risk and starting the conversation early can make all the difference. 💙

➡️Our four Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) provide expert care in both hospital and outpatient settings.
➡️We’re recognized as a Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace by the Minnesota Department of Health, with lactation rooms and hospital-grade breast pumps available at multiple OMC locations.
➡️Our lactation team also helps employees transition back to work with access to hospital-grade pumps and personalized support.

Today we’re looking back to August 20, 1969, when the groundbreaking took place for what would become Olmsted Medical Center’s Rochester Southeast Clinic—just over 20 years after Dr. Wente first opened his practice above Lawler’s Dry Cleaners in downtown Rochester. The clinic officially welcomed its first patients on November 2, 1970.

As we reflect on these milestones, we’re also reminded of how OMC continues to grow—adding new technologies, expanding services, and opening new clinics to meet the needs of our community. We’re proud to reflect on these milestones and how far we’ve come together!
