Last week, the Saturday morning class at Yess Yoga on 26th Street in Minneapolis began like any other. But as the 8:30 am class neared the end of the hour and students quietly settled into Savasana, the teacher let out a hushed, “Oh no, oh no, oh no.”

I’m sore after yin yoga….is that normal?!

As a new on a mission to start a in North Central Indiana I’m still learning how students are responding.

Some students have asked, should I be sore after yin?

And the answer is, it’s common, but what kind is important.

Sharp-electric 🚫
This is your nerves saying, “Yo! Not here, not that far!”
Dull ache ✅
This is your body saying, “Now we’re getting somewhere!”
