Increasing your movement during the winter in Rochester can be a fun way to hike, ski, skate or visit our conservation gems such as Wild Wings at Mendon Ponds.

Keep in mind that getting your blood moving keeps your hearing healthy as well, for a whole body lift during the colder months.

Our hearing aid giveaway winner came to see Dr. Matt yesterday for her hearing evaluation and left with a trial pair of hearing aids to wear for the holidays while hers are on order. 💫💫

We were so delighted to meet Angela and her daughter, who both came to the appointment at our Greece office. We'll see them both for Angela's final fit and adjustment appointment.

It's a gratifying thing to be able to do this for someone so sweet and who did very much need some hearing support.

Another moving story nomination from someone in the Rochester area. We know that too many people live with hearing loss that impacts their lives. Knowing that we can make an impact keeps us going.

"He currently has hearing aids, but they are over 10 years old. I often hear them humming, and he will cup his ear to hear the TV, or to hear over loud noises/social settings. Many years back before the hearing aids, I noticed how he struggled. If someone was behind him (1.e.) waitress, he has no clue that they were talking to him. He still seems to have some trouble when people are talking to him. He works so very hard, and has no health insurance. This would be such a blessing for him. This would definitely help him on his new job. I just love him so much, and he is on the right path right now, and I know he would just be so very appreciative if he was nominated for this gift of hearing."

🌻 So many touching stories from Rochester people were shared with us during November as a part of our first-ever HA giveaway. It was difficult narrowing these stories down to only a single winner.

They also drove home the concept that hearing is so critical to so many folks for a life well lived. ❄

We are sharing some of these stories with you this week...

"My husband and I were married when I was in my 40's. After finding out that we couldn't get pregnant, we adopted 2 children internationally. Fast forward to our current situation, our 2 children are both in college with "older" parents. My husband has really been struggling with not being able to hear everything that the kids are sharing. He is constantly saying..."What? What did you say?" I know his hearing is frustrating him, as he wants to be able to enjoy not only our children, but also his other family members and friends. If we were to win this contest, it would be such a blessing to all of us."
