If you had told me a few years back that I would have TWO successful businesses that allow me to:

👉 stay home with my kids
👉 help empower women
👉 helps provide for our family
👉 coach women to run during all journeys
👉 continue to be a student of the sport to pass on knowledge to YOU

I would have laughed

I remember VERY vividly. I worked at a bank as an accountant back in early 2014 and I remember messaging my now business partner, that I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to inspire and I wanted to leave a legacy and help women.

I felt stuck in a cubicle and I hated it.

This was before social media (Instagram mostly) was "big" especially for small businesses

A year and a half later, was born and then

My point?

Know I am SO grateful for YOU. I have counted my blessings and I know how lucky I am to be in the position I am

I love showing up here for you

I love when women message me telling me their success with running after helping them

It makes all the hustle so worth it 💕

Hi there!! Welcome to 😊
I’m Christine! 👋

I’m a mom of 3. I have 2 boys, aged 5 and 3, and a little girl age 2 months 💕

I co-founded my business in 2016 where we help athletes reach their potential with running. We’ve grown so much over the years I was able to leave my full time corporate job to train and coach and raise my kiddos full time. It’s the life I had wished for for so long so it’s a dream 💫

During my second pregnancy in 2018 I found my passion of helping women learn how to safely run through their pregnancy and then return postpartum. From that was the creation of as I became a pre- & postnatal fitness specialist

I work with women every day through and I coach runners 1:1 through - you can swipe through these slides to learn a little more!

Pregnancy running is possible and safe*

No one ever said it would be easy though

There were plenty of days during my pregnancy running journeys where I felt defeated and weak. Then there were other days where I felt so strong and incredibly empowered!

If you were running before you became pregnant and you have your doctor's blessing, you may just need to proper guidance to keep going strong

My program is designed to be there with you every day and to provide proper exercises based on where you are in your pregnancy

It is highly focused on pelvic floor health and overall strength to keep you running as far into your pregnancy that you want or till your body tells you otherwise

Returning to running after having a baby can be confusing and hard to navigate

When can/should you start running again?

What are the signs your body is ready or not ready for the impact of running?

Are there some tests you can do to assess your readiness?

What are some of the mistakes runners make?

Like I said, the PP journey can be a hard one to navigate. Here are three common mistakes runners make in their PP running journey

1️⃣ they return to running too soon
👉 the timing to return to running PP will look different for everyone. Some may be ready at 6 weeks, the majority however are not quite ready at that point and it's recommended to wait until 12 weeks PP to begin. That's assuming your pelvic floor is repaired and healthy enough for the impact... which brings me to mistake number 2
2️⃣ they do not seek help / clearance from a pelvic floor physical therapist
👉 typically you do not need a doctor's referral to go see a pelvic floor physical therapist. I highly recommend seeing one PP to have them assess your strength and address any issues BEFORE you go out for runs
3️⃣ they do no begin pelvic floor and core rehab in the early days or they wait until there is an issue
👉 in most cases, pelvic floor work can begin right after having a baby. It is a muscle that needs to be rehabbed right away. Don't wait for there to be incontinence issues or other issues before seeing a PT or doing the work

The postpartum journey can be really challenging. Running will always be there so take your time, allow your body to heal, focus on what you can control, and seek professional help!

How do you know you are done having kids?

At what point did you feel your family was complete?

Part of me is really sad that we are done and that I won’t be pregnant again but at the same time I feel at peace about it and our family feels so complete!! 💕

As of right now, we will remain a family of 5 but you never know what life will bring I suppose 😉

What will I do after birth?

Well, I’ll be following my Birth To 12 Weeks program 🙌

1 more week till baby’s due date and I will begin my program the day I get home from the hospital

I designed it in a way that you can do in your bed for the first few weeks and they are quick, short, and effective routines

I’ll walk when and what feels good but will wait till 12 weeks to incorporate running into my routine again

My Birth To 12 Weeks program prepares your body to start running again, has plyometrics towards the end and gives assessments to see if you are ready to return to running or not

I’m looking forward to this next chapter and feel ready and prepared that I have a plan in place that I know WORKS to rehab my pelvic floor and core 🧘🏼‍♀️

This pregnancy has looked very different than my last 2

My second pregnancy, my entire goal was to run a half marathon in my third trimester and then continue running to the very end

And I accomplished that doing everything I teach in my pregnancy running program 🙌

But this pregnancy I haven’t wanted to run as much. There hasn’t been anything wrong, I just haven’t enjoyed it as much because I’m enjoying weight lifting more

And that’s why I always say if you don’t WANT to run you don’t HAVE to run. Just because you are a runner it doesn’t mean you have to run while pregnant or that you are less of one if you choose not to

Do what makes you happy
Do what feels good
Move your body
Nourish your body
Respect your body
Enjoy the process 💕

Do you fall into one of these three?

I have worked with and talked to a lot of pregnant women and those who have gone through it before tend to have a higher understanding and appreciation of the importance of pelvic floor health if you intend to continue running

So common mistakes I see and hear about the most are…
1️⃣ they don’t do anything with their pelvic floor. A lot of women don’t until there’s an issue, but why not be proactive? Just because you don’t have incontinence or other pelvic dysfunction doesn’t mean its health and strength shouldn’t be a focus for runners

2️⃣ they don’t equally focus on releasing and learning how to relax their PF. I posted the other day about hypertonic pelvic floors and that it can be common in runners. Being able to release and relax these muscles is just as important as its strength and muscle tone

3️⃣ they get really caught up in their paces slowing and efforts rising that it removes the joy of pregnancy running. Just expect to slow down at some point, it’s okay, it’s to be expected, it isn’t wrong or mean you are less of a runner. Enjoy this short journey because running and increasing your fitness levels will always be there for you later. Be intentional about what you are doing now during pregnancy and have fun!

We’ve reached the 30’s 😱

To me when I get into the week 30’s it all starts to get really very real in the fact that this baby is coming SOON!

Things I still need to do before she arrives:
A ton, I’ll just leave it at that 😳

Other bump updates:
🏋🏼‍♀️Lifting has been feeling the best out of all forms of exercise
🏃🏼‍♀️Mileage is dwindling but not because it doesn’t feel good, rather because I’m really enjoying lifting and walking more right now
🧀 My appetite has really picked up, which is good for me, and I have craved cheese and apples for months now
🙃 I’ve gained way more weight in my lower body this pregnancy compared to my last 2, maybe because it’s a girl? I fully embrace all body changes that pregnancy brings but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I sometimes have to catch myself from a negative thought
🛌 Sleep is starting to get more difficult and uncomfortable but it’s not too bad
🥼I officially switched from my long standing OBGYN to a midwife and I had my first appt with her last week. She is amazing and it was everything I could have hoped for and what was lacking with my OB
🤱I have a prenatal lactation consult set up for next week. My last 2 breastfeeding journeys did not work out (proud formula feeding mama here) but I do want to try it again this time so I’m setting myself up for success and getting the help I need ahead of time and before there’s an issue. Maybe third time is a charm 🤞
