We are hiring! Accountant
The Rochester Presbyterian Home is seeking a Full Time Accountant that will provide accounting support for the Business Financial office.
Position Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post accounting documents such as fees, receipts, deposits, invoices, requisitions, vouchers, checks, and other related accounting documentation.
• Review and post accounts payable.
• Prepare management reports for budget compliance.
• Receive and count cash; maintain accurate Elders’ personal petty cash accounts, and other records.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports for Board of Trustees and Committees.
• File and maintain accounting records and reports.
• Provide written and/or oral reports to the Executive Director, CFO, Human Resources Director or other authorized personnel as required.
• Maintain and liaison with long term care carriers.
• Liaison with all RPH communities on business matters.
• Maintain Admission records in accordance with organizational and DOH standards.
• Standardize methods in which work outcomes will be accomplished.
• Maintain confidentiality in all functional areas.
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Position Requirements:
Must possess, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3-5 years experience in all aspects of general accounting and payroll procedures.
Past experience working with seniors and/or persons with dementia preferred.
Must possess a working knowledge of bookkeeping theories and practices and accepted office procedures.
Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures and guidelines.5-10 years of progressive development experience including oversight of a development operation.
