The Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine is safe!
Grateful for receiving the second dose of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine. It’s been 2 weeks and feeling great. I alternated Tylenol and Motrin for a mild fever, aches and chills which resolved after 48 hours. As both a physician and participant I encourage getting the vaccination when it’s your turn. So proud to be part of the Moderna mRNA-1273 Coronavirus Efficacy vaccine study. Thank you to Henry Ford Health System nurses, physicians, staff, and Dr Zervos PI for his leadership.
Please get vaccinated! And the sooner we can get back to normalcy.

I am proud to be participating in the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Study. After Moderna received the Emergency Use Authorization, I chose to be unblinded and learned I was in the placebo group last Wednesday. I then requested and received my first COVID-19 vaccine last week. I experienced mild swelling and pain at the injection site, but otherwise I’m doing well. I am looking forward to the second vaccine in February. As a physician, I strongly recommend the vaccination. The vaccination has been well studied and has an effective and safe profile. Thank you to the Henry Ford Health System nurses, physicians, and staff for granting me the opportunity to participate in this study.
