Thank you to one of our family members for bringing us some eggs and caterpillars so we can watch the process of turning into a Monarch Butterfly!

Here’s some fun facts about the Monarch Butterfly:

1) Some monarchs fly for over 3,000 miles on their migratory journeys.

2) Monarchs need one specific kind of plant – milkweed – to survive

3) Monarch wings are covered in scales

4) You can tell male and female monarch butterflies apart by their wings

Within a few weeks we will have some beautiful butterflies that we will be able to release outside! If you have any questions please check in with our Activity Director Morgan! Also, we’d love for our visitors to check out the aquarium, just please don’t touch or put anything in the cage! Thank you so much 😊🦋
