Warhorse Therapy is a veteran-owned, equine assisted therapy (EAP) practice, operating in SE Minnesota. Josh Kaus is dual-licensed as a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) with the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (BBHT). As a mental health professional, Josh has experience working in conjunction with courts, child protec
tion agencies and diversion programs. He has worked with clients varying in age from 12-80+ years old. Josh uses a trauma-informed, person-centered paradigm, combining aspects of various modalities including:

Josh has training in multiple evidence-based therapies, including CPT, EMDR, and MI. He also is trained in equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) and equine-assisted learning (EAL). His approach integrates horses as co-therapists, to deliver impactful individual, couple, family and group EAP/EAL experiences.
