Every day, we walk into the clinic, not knowing what we will treat, what news patients have received, what others are going through. We show up, day after day, hoping to make somebody’s life a little bit better than it was yesterday, last week and even last month.
We don’t do the best at sending our reviews to patient. But here and there, we receive a random review on a random week day. And through the midst of all the craziness, reading reviews such as these, makes our job 100% worth it. 🥹
Today was a heavy day in the clinic. We heard 5 things in the clinic:
•One patient had a cancer diagnosis which he received as he was driving to our clinic.
• One patient found out her baby is breech.
• One patient is going through her last IVF. cycle praying and hoping the pregnancy makes it to full-term.
• One pregnant patient started spotting and bleeding today.. Not knowing what it will lead to.
• One patient broke down crying during the initial consult, as she felt encouraged and knew her symptoms were real even though she was being brushed off. She finally felt seen and heard.
Some days are heavy. Some days are full of joy. We show up. We do all we can on our end. We want you to know a few things. We will always support you. We pray for you. And we even think about you when we aren’t in clinic.
Community is everything. All we have is each other. If you have a moment to help somebody tonight, tomorrow morning, please do so. You never know what somebody is going through.
And then we get a review like this that melts our heart.
Fertility is a long and isolating journey that most women can’t openly speak to others about.
If you have an extra minute to say one extra prayer for those hurting, in pain, isolated, those who have received bad news, those who need support… I’m sure there is somebody who could use it.
We see lots of tears in the clinic. But we also see lots of laughter. And reading posts and receiving news like this, makes everything work it in the end. We all go through hard times. But keep your chin up, you’ll get through it. One day, 5 years from now.. you’ll look back and smile at how strong you were during the midst of your hardest moments.🌻
