Genealogy fun fact for this week! Did you realize the census has been taken every 10 years since 1790? The goal of the census is to provide a picture of the nation's population at a particular time.
There is a 72-year restriction on data, so the most current census available is the 1950 report, which was released April 1st of this year. Access a free copy here: https://1950census.archives.gov .

Who is my first cousin once removed? Once removed refers to the number of generations between you and that cousin. It's either your parent's cousin, or your first cousin's child.
