The amazing Gina Conley from MamasteFit joins Meagan today to answer your questions about perinatal fitness! Gina is a birth doula, perinatal fitness trainer, and founder of MamasteFit. ​​In partnership with her sister, Roxanne, who is a labor and delivery nurse and student-midwife, MamasteFit is a place for women to find education courses and fitness programs to be their strongest selves during each stage of motherhood.

Gina shares her expertise on how exercise affects babies during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. She also touches on topics like when to start prenatal exercise, what to do if you didn’t exercise before pregnancy, how late into pregnancy you can exercise, weightlifting, and which movements to incorporate to create more space in the pelvis.

Gina’s comprehensive prenatal fitness book, Training for Two, will be released in September 2024. It is a fantastic resource for all pregnant women!

Come join me for ANOTHER Pelvic Movement During Labor & Delivery class! This class is for those who are pregnant or that are supporting those during birth and want to learn a bit more about their own pelvic anatomy, and how to utilize movement and different positions during labor to promote comfort and maybe allow for a smoother delivery!

This event is for anyone, no matter what type of birth you are planning! I will be presenting in-person (which is encouraged, for hands on practice with certain comfort measures) at the All Natural Health & Wellness office, but will have a zoom link available for anyone who wants to join virtually!

I was inspired to become a doula after a long and difficult induction and birth with my first son. I never knew birth could be traumatic, until it happened to me, and my job is to educate and inform my clients and patients to the best of my ability so that they feel empowered, educated, and safe no matter what kind of birth they have.

I am a perinatal certified chiropractor practicing in Rochester, NY, and began attending births as a birth doula in 2023. I am very passionate about pelvic movement during pregnancy, and have enjoyed following a few of my chiropractic patients into the delivery room as their doula.

Birth is just fascinating to me, and to be able to attend births has allowed my professional career to be beyond my wildest dreams. I have a special interest in high-risk pregnancies, after having 2 of my own, and have supported many patients attempting to VBAC with chiropractic care, and this training seemed like the next logical step! I love your page and content and as soon as I saw you carried a certification class, I jumped right in!

This seminar was full of local providers wanting to learn how to better serve the Rochester community with a team approach on this increasingly diagnosed issues. ⠀
