Meaghan Flaherty is a Mental Health Counseling Intern and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor who specializes in individualized, person-centered care with a focus on mindful somatic practices. She also provides vocational counseling and has a background in linking with community resources.

When asked what she finds most meaningful about working with clients, she states that the "aha moment" where the work that the individual has contributed to the counseling process results in connections being made to support on their path forward is so powerful.

Jorrie Landis-Clinton is a q***r visual artist and painter currently based in Rochester, New York. She is an alumni of the State University of New York at New Paltz and creates pieces on the basis of mental health awareness as well as spirituality. Her most recent work is colorfully portrayed in a surrealist light, focusing on the anatomical details of the human body.

This Wellness Wednesday, we interrupt any potential doom-scrolling to take you on a mini adventure! Sometimes, reality places limits on what we can and can't do. Table-top role playing games transcend that boundary and allow players to explore new themes or play a character that is vastly different from their reality. This is why when applied in a therapeutic setting, these games become a tool to build confidence, establish community, and learn new skills all while having fun!
