šŸ“£The Center for Accessible Neuropsychology is currently running a research study that is targeted at investigating the impact of Parkinson’s Disease on psychological processes. This research has the potential to significantly streamline the research process for cognitive diseases, leading to more efficient and impactful results for Parkinson’s research. Flexibility 🄊🄊🄊
This week we will work on improving our range of motion and mobility. Decreased muscle length can have a negative effect on posture, gait and balance. Poor mobility is also a frequent cause of pain in the lower back and neck. Stretching can be done by holding a pose for a length of time or moving through a yoga style flow. We will try many different styles of stretching this week!

Balance 🄊🄊
This week we will focus on improving our balance and stability with exercises for both static and dynamic balance.
Static balance refers to stability when your body is in one place.
Exercises such as standing on one leg improve static balance. Dynamic balance is stability when your body is in motion or changing direction. We will work on starts and stops and reaching to improve our static balance.
