Chemicals don’t stay put.

Q: What are Volatile Organic Compounds?
A: Referred to as VOCs - they are carbon-based chemicals that readily evaporate into the air.

A good step by this state. I hope Michigan follows suit.

West Virginia has officially banned artificial food dyes (Red 3, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1, Blue 2, Green 3​), Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), and Propylparaben - nine additives flagged for their links to hyperactivity, hormone disruption, or potential carcinogenic effects.💥

This makes West Virginia the first U.S. state to pass such a comprehensive ban on these substances across all food products.

Key Dates:
🎓August 1, 2025: Ban effective in school nutrition programs.​
🚫January 1, 2028: Statewide ban on affected products.
