Our team spent the day teaching Mobile Skills at St. James Hospital to a great group of nurses, EMS and fire fighters! After that they hit the road and taught Stop the Bleed at Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester!

Our team had a wonderful time at the American College of Surgeons Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) Conference in Denver, CO this week! Kessler Trauma Center also had excellent representation during the poster presentation session by Nurse Educator Becky & Lead Registrar Margaret. We look forward to bringing back all the new things we learned to our teams in order to continue to enhance our trauma program!

In collaboration with our friends from .free.roc, we will be hosting the National Injury Prevention Fair this Sunday! We will be joined by several agencies to provide education on ways to decrease injury and violence within our community. We hope to see you there! ✨

Yesterday the Upstate New York Chapter of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma held the William H. Marx Endowed Lecture in Trauma Surgery & Resident Paper Competition. Special thank you to Dr. Elliott Haut for providing his expertise on ‘Building an Academic Surgical Career Around Quality & Safety’ & for participating in the Resident Paper Competition! 🏥

The Kessler Trauma Center had excellent representation during the Resident Paper Competition with presentations by Dr. Andrew Rodenhouse, Dr. Alexa Melucci, Dr. Korry Wirth, & Dr. Abigail Loszko. Congratulations to Dr. Melucci for advancing to the COT region 2 competition! ⭐️

🎃Add reflective gear to your bag or costume

⭐️ Speed SALT - participants are trying their hand at using the SALT guidelines as quickly and accurately as possible!
