Weโ€™re proud to support the next generation of leaders making a difference in their communities!

Aquinas Institute senior Molly Krotz recently partnered with our trauma program to bring life-saving education to faculty and staff through her capstone project. Together, we delivered Stop the Bleed training to her school.

Not only did Molly facilitate and teach the course, she went a step further by securing funding to equip every classroom with Stop the Bleed kits. Thanks to a generous donation from her grandmother, this effort will have a lasting impact on the safety and preparedness of the entire Aquinas community.

Itโ€™s inspiring to see students like Molly take initiative to create safer schools and stronger communities. Great work, Mollyโ€”weโ€™re honored to be part of your project!

SALT Triage: Train the Trainer ๐Ÿ’ฅ

This training brought together professionals from multiple agencies for a hands-on learning experience. Participants engaged in interactive skills stations focused on effective triage techniques, communication and coordinated response during mass casualty incidents. This collaborative training strengthens our regionโ€™s preparedness by empowering attendees to return to their organizations and share this critical knowledge. We are proud to partner across agencies to enhance emergency response and improve patient outcomes. Thank you to everyone involved!

Last night in Livingston County was nothing short of inspiring.

Twenty-two agencies, representing five counties, came together for the SALT Triage Train-the-Trainer. In a world where disasters can strike without warning, this kind of commitment speaks volumes. It is a powerful reminder that our first responders are constantly preparing training, learning, and standing ready for the moments we hope never come.

Mercy Flight Central is incredibly honored to have been included among such outstanding instructors and agencies. Working alongside so many dedicated responders reinforces what we already know, our communities are in strong, capable hands๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿšจ

This past weekend we had the pleasure of hosting the Brighton Fire Department Explorers for a tour of the trauma center and a Stop the Bleed Course. Our Injury Prevention & Outreach Coordinator Sarah and Trauma Program Educator Becky were able to walk the Explorers through the path of a trauma patient from when they land on the helipad to the critical care bay to the BTICU. We love any opportunity to host young professionals interested in furthering their knowledge and education! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš’๐Ÿฅ

๐Ÿ“ฃ Kessler Trauma Center is proud to stand with the City of Rochester and support ROC Vision Zero! ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿš—

Weโ€™re honored to be part of the collective effort to eliminate traffic fatalities and severe injuries throughout Rochester โ€” a bold vision grounded in safety, equity, and collaboration. ROC Vision Zero is more than a strategy, itโ€™s a community-wide commitment to design safer streets, promote responsible behavior, and ensure everyone can move around our city with confidence and security.

Through partnerships like this, weโ€™re working to:
โœ… Advance safe street design and smart speed management
โœ… Support education, enforcement, and evaluation initiatives
โœ… Promote pedestrian, cyclist, and driver safety
โœ… Help build a healthier, more equitable Rochester for everyone

Our mission is not limited to only caring for those who suffer life-altering injuries but to also do our part to prevent them in the first place. Together with ROC Vision Zero and our community partners, weโ€™re turning the tide on traffic violence.
