Why should you try a reiki session? Here’s why!
Imagine entering a serene room filled with soft lighting and soothing music. The air is infused with a gentle aroma of essential oils, creating a tranquil atmosphere. As you settle onto a comfortable massage table, the Reiki practitioner greets you with warmth and compassion. You close your eyes as the session begins, feeling the practitioner's hands lightly resting on different parts of your body. With each touch, you sense a wave of relaxation washing over you, melting away tension and stress.
As the practitioner channels Reiki energy, you become aware of subtle sensations—a tingling warmth, a gentle pulsing, or a soothing flow coursing through your body. It's as if layers of negativity and fatigue are being lifted away, leaving you feeling lighter and more at peace. Time seems to slow down as you sink deeper into a state of profound relaxation. Your mind becomes still and worries and distractions fade into the background. You are fully present in the moment, basking in the healing energy enveloping you. With each passing minute, you feel more grounded and balanced, as if your body, mind, and spirit are realigning with harmony and vitality. Any areas of discomfort or imbalance are gently addressed, promoting a sense of wholeness and well-being.
As the session draws to a close, you feel rejuvenated and refreshed, as if you've been enveloped in a cocoon of love and light. With a deep sense of gratitude, you slowly open your eyes, feeling centered, grounded, and ready to embrace life with renewed vitality.

A study published by Springer Link states that “Bearing grudges is associated with a history of pain disorders, cardiovascular disease, and stomach ulcers.” Holding grudges and resentment is linked to a higher risk of heart attack, disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, back pain, headaches, and chronic pain. In addition, the anger from resentment can cause mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

It’s in your best interest to move past the hurt caused by others to protect your health and well-being. There are strategies to free yourself of resentment.

Are you happy in your life right now? If you are – WONDERFUL, you know the magic. If you are not – YOU can change it if you understand something very simple.
YOU CREATE YOUR OWN REALITY
You have the power to control your perceptions of the world around you. This allows you, individually, the power to create your own reality - every single day! YOU decide what you want your day to look and feel like. It all begins with THOUGHT!
Here is an exercise you can do. Get a paper and describe what “My Perfect Morning” would look like for you. Use as much detail as possible, including all 5 senses. Don’t worry about reality – this is your dream morning.
Do you rise early or stay hunkered down until noon?
Do you feel crisp cool sheets or a soft fluffy comforter?
Do you hear birds or city traffic?
Do you smell flowers, fresh cut grass, or coffee and bacon smells coming from the kitchen?
Is there anything near you that tells about who else may live in your home – photos, clothes, someone in bed next to you?
Are you looking forward to spending the day alone or mingling with others?
What are the first 3 thought that come into your mind as you get up? (remember this is your perfect morning so be bold and courageous: the maid comes today, I get to spend the day on the golf course, only 3 weeks till my wedding. Make it what YOU WANT!)
Now how does the rest of your beautiful morning unfold? It's entirely up to you!

Rid Yourself of Negativity
The most dangerous thing that you could ever fall in to would be negativity. It’s too damaging, stressful, and a complete waste of time. On the other hand, it’s a lot easier to think negatively than positively. Being disappointed in something can stir up a lot of negative thoughts and doubts. Being aware of negativity is important because it will only steer you away from your goal. Negative thinking can drain the life out of you and that’s not just your mental health at risk but your physical health as well. POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS:
In those inevitable moments of resistance, when it feels easy to give up, having go-to affirmations can help you power through. Create a list of personal positive affirmations to have on hand. Use them daily so they flow to your mind easily.

When writing your personal affirmations, remember these points:
1. Use present tense, even if you are thinking of your future, acknowledge it as if it has already happened: “I allow myself to feel my emotions and then move on” vs “Someday I will know how to control my emotions.”
2. Start your affirmations with this phrase: "I am so happy and grateful that..." Gratitude and thankfulness are 2 of the highest vibrations.
3. Use positive instead of negative language: "I make healthy choices." vs "I won't eat junk food."
4. Keep them believable: "I am positive and upbeat." vs "I never get angry.”

Here are a few more examples for you to think about as you write your list.
"I am so happy and grateful that I am feeling healthy, fit & strong,
"I am proud of myself for the progress I made today."
"I am so grateful my mind is clear and calm."
"I am so thankful I take time out for myself."
"I am so grateful and thankful have the strength to push through this obstacle and see what's beyond it."
"I am happy and grateful I attract kind, loving people who respect me.”

GRATITUDE: One of the keys to enjoying life is appreciating what you have and being grateful for it. By focusing on the positive, you invite more positivity into your life. Gratitude is a habit you can cultivate, like brushing your teeth or drinking enough water. By taking time every day to focus on gratitude for all that you have, you’ll start to appreciate the gifts in your life even more. Think of gratitude as a very powerful positive energy that dispels negative thinking and emotional baggage, just as light dispels darkness. Imagine how your life would be if you filled yourself with thoughts of love and gratitude on a continual basis.

A typical session lasts 30-45 minutes. I ask what you want to work on, I say a prayer for guidance, then I connect with your energy and that is what guides the session. I have a few energy modalities I work with and I energy test to see what is needed. It is painless and uplifting as you let go of stuck energies.
