So proud of our Golisano Restorative Neurology & Rehab team for organizing this incredible kids' helmet drive for the month of March! 💙

We're excited to say that the team has received lots of helmets from drop-offs across the community, and even some donations to help us purchase kids' helmets (for those unable to drop off in person)!

🗓️ Only 4 days left to drop off or donate, and they're so close to their $500 goal! 😁

📣 Exciting news for our Unity patients and community📣

Thanks to $1M in funding secured this week by Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Rochester Regional Health will be able to enhance our virtual care delivery technology for patients at Unity Hospital & RGH! 💻 🏥

This tech will not only provide better real-time patient monitoring, but will also allow health care workers the ability to provide patients with a number of virtual specialty care services including social work, care management, clinical support, dietary management, pharmacist access and more.

Talk about a family affair! 🥰

On Friday, FIVE generations of the same family were gathered at Unity Hospital to welcome their newest member, little Macey Jo.

102-year-old Josephine Campanella just happened to be at Unity last week, receiving treatment for a fall, when her great-granddaughter, Allison Sharpe, went into labor and delivered her baby girl, Macey Josephine (whose middle name is in honor of - you guessed it - her great-great-grandmother 💕) at the same hospital!

We were honored to accommodate this beautiful meeting, and proud to be a part of the care for both the eldest AND youngest members of this wonderful family. We wish them all the best. 💙

When Payton Willette's water broke 5 1/2 weeks before her due date, she was asked to stay in the hospital for close monitoring of her and her baby before delivery.

While this unexpected hospital stay helped to ensure Payton and her baby's safety, it also caused her to miss her planned maternity photography session. So (like a true mom), she quickly came up with a new option. She asked the nursing team if they could assist her with getting her pictures taken in the courtyard directly outside our August Family Birth Place, and had her maternity dress brought in for the occasion.

The team was, of course, thrilled to help her capture these beautiful photos before Payton safely delivered her healthy baby boy. 👶

Congratulations to Payton and her family - we're so happy to be a part of your story. 🥰 💙

Leaving behind a legacy of love & art 🎨 🥰

Before she passed at the end of 2023, local artist Beverly Allardice sat down with us to share the story behind the stained glass mural she created for Unity Hospital.

Beverly's beautiful contribution to the hospital is a wonderful tribute to the journey of life, love, and the care that healthcare workers provide to the community every day.

As we continue to see an increase in seasonal illnesses across the region, we may have to implement certain visitor restrictions, such as masking, as a strategy to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, RSV and the flu virus for limited portions of time within our facilities. Signage will also be placed at facilities where masking is required. Masks are always available for your convenience.

After a battle with illness, Harun came to the center unable to walk. Through his own dedication and strength, along with the help of his incredible team at Unity, Harun was able to walk himself out of the Center, with his family (and many new friends from the Golisano Rehab team) cheering him on the whole way. 🎉 💙⁠

Last week, we celebrated the delivery of the 5,000th flag to our veteran patients! This program, made possible by American Legion Greece Post 468, volunteers, and community donors, are a heartfelt way to thank our local heroes for their service. 🇺🇸🎖️

The magnetic flag program and this achievement are dedicated to the memory of George Haines, a WWII Army veteran, and long time Unity Hospital volunteer. 💙

Meet Reagan, a brave young girl who defied the odds, battling brain cancer and emerging stronger than ever. 💪

After completing rehab at the Golisano Restorative Neurology & Rehab Center at Unity, Reagan recognized the incredible power of support during her recovery journey and beyond.

Her experience inspired her to create "Reagan's Rainbows of Hope," 🌈 which offers others some of the same support that helped her along the way.

For Kay Sullivan, it took expert care.

Once deemed the "sickest patient" at Unity Hospital, Kay defied the odds and made a remarkable recovery, thanks to her strength and the tireless dedication of her entire medical team. Today, Kay is back in the comfort of her own home, embracing the joys of her everyday life. 🏡 💙

At one point during her stay at Unity Hospital, doctors told Kay Sullivan she was the sickest patient who was there. Thanks to the hard work of countless medical staff, she is now home and living her normal life.
