Woodlawn Hospital has grown from a small house on Pontiac Street to a 25-bed critical access hospital on 33 wooded acres, which can be viewed from every patient room. From our beginnings in 1905, Woodlawn Hospital has been a leader in rural healthcare. With state-of-the-art technology and compassionate, patient-centered care, Woodlawn Health offers a wide range of services including a birthing center, cancer center, emergency medical services, laboratory services, critical care and medical/surgical units, radiology, rehabilitation services, respiratory care services, sleep center, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, and more. Welcome back, Monday! You know what that means, !

Caroline Utter graduated from Rochester High School in 1982, a year later in 1983 she started working at Woodlawn’s Food Services Department. She now works in the Materials Management Department.

When asked her favorite thing about her specialty, she shared “I enjoy moving around all day versus sitting at a desk. I learned so much working in multiple departments at Woodlawn.”

“I enjoy the small-town vibe and care that I know Woodlawn provides. My two sons were born here.”

In her free time, she enjoys watching Cubs baseball, shopping, and baking.

Kicking off the new week with a new !

Lynda Soderlund earned her Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and is a licensed Radiologic Technologist and Mammographer. She joined the Woodlawn Health Diagnostic Imaging Department in 2022.

When asked about her favorite part of her specialty, Lynda shared, “I love the personal connection I establish with each and every patient.” She added, “I also love the family feel here.”

In her free time, Lynda enjoys reading, knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
