Today, we are celebrating Dr. Aldridge, who will be furthering his personal practice as an independent physician effective March 6. We want to thank him for his 14 years of service to Woodlawn and our patients.

What will this mean for patients moving forward?
Dr. Aldridge will still have privileges to care for patients at Woodlawn, but not as an employed physician. Patients may get a bill from Dr. Aldridge and Woodlawn if they have a procedure done here at Woodlawn. He will be holding his clinic at Aldridge Diagnostic Medicine, and for any questions, patients can call 574-936-2643 or email office@aldridgemed.com after March 6th.

Congratulations, Dr. Aldridge, and thanks for all your years of service to our community! We are so glad you will continue to care for our community.

New Monday, new that keeps you in the game. ๐Ÿ€

Dr. Jeffrey Sheedy graduated from the University of Alaska with a Biology degree, while also maintaining a position on the menโ€™s basketball team. Sheedy then attended Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon graduation, he continued his training at Midwestern University, completing his internship and residency. Sheedy took the next step and completed a fellowship at Lake Tahoe Institute of Sports Medicine, advancing his experience.

His experience in sports medicine began as a student athletic trainer and clinical assistant, before he became an Orthopedic Surgeon in 2002. Woodlawn Health and Rochester Orthopedics welcomed Sheedy shortly after in December 2008.

โ€œWhat I like most about working at a community-oriented hospital like Woodlawn is that it affords me the time I need to spend with patients to get to know them and provide them care that is individually tailored to their needs, as opposed to a cookie-cutter factory-style approach to healthcare,โ€ Dr. Sheedy stated.

His favorite thing about Orthopedics is assisting patients in returning to their previous recreational activities and appropriate level of function after injury.

In his free time, Dr. Sheedy enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and canoeing.
