So, this came across my page, this morning, and hit me right in the "feels". It is a cycle I've been on most of my life, and one I'm working on right now. I know what boundaries are, despite the last sentence, but this cycle is another deeper layer of the onion for me. I recently realized I was feeling resentful. The question became: Am I resenting the other party because they are taking advantage of me, or am I resenting myself because I know they are taking advantage of me and I continue to allow it? GOOD QUESTION! I'd love to hear from some of you in regard to this post. Do you give second, third and tenth chances to people who claim they truly want to change? And if so, do you end up resenting them when they don't put in the work? I think I'm looking for others who understand what this post is about, and who have experienced it first hand. Also, where they are in their process, today. I am actively dealing with the cycle and would love to hear from others who get it, and perhaps have broken it. Thanks!
