Our Dementia Care Navigator, Sarah, and Director of The Clare & Jerry Rotenberg Institute on Aging, Courtney, attended the “Reshaping Dementia Care Through Compassionate Connection” event hosted by the Charles E. Smith Life Communities. Teepa Snow was the featured speaker.
Teepa is well known in the world of dementia care, educating both professional and family caregivers across more than 30 countries. She has delivered over 8,000 trainings and developed more than 500 dementia care webinars.
Teepa used her “Positive Approach to Care” to demonstrate practical strategies and methods for supporting individuals with brain changes. At the symposium, Teepa also presented on the GEMS states of brain change. Teepa connects each state of brain change to a corresponding gemstone.
