Jewish Home announces the establishment of The Clare & Jerry Rotenberg Center for Excellence in Dementia Care, which will improve quality of life for those living with dementia and memory loss and empower and support their families and caregivers through innovative programs, education and training, and resource navigation.

Jewish Home has been ranked in the top 1 percent of all nursing homes in the country for quality of patient care — earning the position of 159 among nearly 13,900 nursing homes, as evaluated by the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services for value-based care. All nursing homes in the United States were assessed and ranked on 4 categories: hospital readmissions, infections requiring hospitalization, nursing turnover and total nursing hours per resident day.

Dedicated employees of The Summit Independent Living were honored as nominees and recipients of the prestigious Neil H. Fisher Summit Employee Recognition Awards, which celebrate excellence demonstrated by Summit staff.

Nominations were submitted by residents, their family members, fellow staff, and management. Longtime Summit resident Neil Fisher helped issue the awards. Honorees included Moira F., from the environmental services team (third place); Temari H.-C., from the dining team (second place); and Izabella S., concierge (first place).
