🚧 : Link BRT Construction Update

Major improvements are underway on both ends of the Link Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor—bringing Rochester closer to faster, fare-free, and more sustainable transit.

🔹 East Terminus (6th St SE & 3rd Ave SE)
• Now–mid-Sept: Lane shifts begin
• Aug 18: Full closure west of 3rd Ave SE (reopens in early 2026)
• Mid-Sept–2026: Lane shifts continue

🔹 2nd St SW (11th–14th Ave)
• Now–Aug 10: One lane each direction
• Aug 11: Full closure (11th–13th Ave SW)
• Mid-Sept: Closure extends to 14th Ave SW

Pedestrian routes remain open with detour signage in place. 🚶

Meet DMC's new intern, Nolan Seaberg. Welcome aboard!

What are you studying and where?
I go to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and study Business Management, Geography, and Sustainable business.

What drew you to the DMC internship?
Having grown up in Byron, I’ve developed a strong passion for creating a positive impact within my community. I see DMC as a key driver of that growth and innovation. This role aligns with my deep interest in sustainability and offers an opportunity to build experience across its many dimensions

What projects are you most excited to work on?
I’m extremely eager to be involved in construction or renovation processes and being able to implement efficient processes such as renewable energy or passive solar design which are sustainable yet cost effective.


What’s something you hope to learn during your time here?
Gaining additional experience engaging with diverse communities and learning what they feel could make Rochester a better place to live in or visit.


How does this internship align with your career goals?
I would love to work in renewable energy project planning in the future, and DMC and its partners are passionate about implementing these systems into our city. Gaining experience here will help build a foundation for this rapidly changing profession.


What’s one fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
I’m a decathlete on the UWL Track and Field team!
