Coconut Oil may not be as healthy as we thought. In a March 2017 Study, we saw that Coconut oil can significantly raise cholesterol levels just hours after consumption. Typically it raises HDL or good cholesterol, however, we now know that raising HDL does not protect against heart disease in the same way that lowering LDL. All saturated fats, which include coconut oil, raise cholesterol. It is best to stick with unsaturated fats like olive oil and avocado oil.
