My name is Grace LaDelfa, LMT, CCH, RM and I am a New York State and Nationally Certified Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists, and a Reiki Master. My training in Shaman and Native American Energy techniques are incorporated in my hands-on-healing work. Gracefull Healings welcomes you to change your life in the most positive way. My practice is located in the lovely Brighton area at 2349 Monroe Ave., Rochester, New York 14618. I answer my own phone so that I can speak one-on-one to my clients. However if I am in session or if it is after hours, you may have to leave a message for me, and I will return your call promptly. I use the art of hypnotherapy to assist my clients in discovering their own self-healing abilities, enabling them to live happier, more fulfilling lives. I believe that this can be accomplished healthfully, by gently accessing the subconscious mind to reprogram self-defeating thoughts. Before hypnosis, we will discuss the reasons you are here and what you wish to accomplish. While you are in hypnosis, I will give you instructions to relax each part of your body. Then you will be gently taken into deeper relaxation. Your goals that we have previously been discussed during our consultation will be introduced in your subconscious to be accepted as the new programming. This will bring about positive changes in your life? Then I will count you back up feeling in balance and harmony. What is hypnosis? Your conscious mind only retains about 10% of your memory. Your subconscious mind records every thought, feeling, belief, and memory you have ever experienced. In your formative years, your subconscious was programmed with beliefs and thoughts through events in your life, your family, and your friends. Hypnosis reaches your subconscious mind enabling you to change your perception to benefit you – releasing limiting beliefs from the past and gain more control over your life.

My mom did not sleep. She felt exhausted. She was irritable, grumpy, and bitter. She was always sick until one day, suddenly, she changed.

One day my dad said to her:

- I've been looking for a job for three months and I haven't found anything, I'm going to have a few beers with friends.

My mom replied:

- It's okay.

My brother said to her:

- Mom, I'm doing poorly in all subjects at the University.

My mom replied:

- Okay, you will recover, and if you don't, well, you repeat the semester, but you pay the tuition.

My sister said to her:

- Mom, I smashed the car.

My mom replied:

- Okay daughter, take it to the car shop & find out how to pay and while they fix it, get around by bus or subway.

Her daughter-in-law said to her:

- Mother-in-law, I came to spend a few months with you.

My mom replied:

- Okay, settle in the living room couch and look for some blankets in the closet.

All of us gathered worried to see these reactions coming from Mom.

We suspected that she had gone to the doctor and that she was prescribed some pills called "I don't give a damn”... Perhaps she was overdosing on these!

We then proposed to do an "intervention" w/my mother to remove her from any possible addiction she had to some anti-tantrum medication.

But then ... she gathered us around her and my mom explained:

"It took me a long time to realize that each person is responsible for their life. It took me years to discover that my anguish, anxiety, my depression, my courage, insomnia & my stress, does not solve your problems but aggravate mine.

I am not responsible for the actions of anyone & it’s not my job to provide happiness but I am responsible for the reactions I express to that.

Therefore, I came to the conclusion that my duty to myself is to remain calm and let each one of you solve what corresponds to you.

I have taken courses in yoga, meditation, miracles, human development, mental hygiene, vibration, and neurolinguistic programming, and in all of them, I found a common denominator in them all...

I can only control myself, you have all the necessary resources to solve your own problems despite how hard they may be. My job is to pray for you, love on you, and encourage you but it’s up to YOU to solve them & find your happiness.

I can only give you my advice if you ask me & it depends on you to follow it or not. There are consequences, good or bad, to your decisions and YOU have to live them.

So from now on, I cease to be the receptacle of your responsibilities, the sack of your guilt, the laundress of your remorse, the advocate of your faults, the wall of your lamentations, the depositary of your duties, who should solve your problems or spare a tire every time to fulfill your responsibilities.

From now on, I declare all independent and self-sufficient adults.

Everyone at my mom's house was speechless.

From that day on, the family began to function better because everyone in the house knew exactly what it is that they needed to do.

For some of us, this is hard because we've grown up being the caregivers and feeling responsible for others. As moms & wives, we are fixers of all things. We never want our loved ones to go through difficult things or to struggle. We want everyone to be happy.

But, the sooner we take that responsibility off of our shoulders & on to each loved one, the better we are preparing them to be MEsponsible.

We are not here on earth to be everything to everyone. Stop putting that pressure on yourself.

Much Love;

Charlyn

For centuries Shamanic healing has been exclusively practiced within indigenous cultures, but in recent years these indigenous tribes have shared their discipline to non-indigenous individuals to become contemporary Shamans. I am very fortunate to have become a certified Shamanic Energy practitioner. For those of you who would like an explanation of what Shamanism is all about, click on this link:

What is Shamanism and how can it help me?
Shamanism is one of the most ancient forms of energy healing that exists on this earth and has been traditionally practiced by indigenous societies for many thousands of years all over the world. It is the Shaman's belief that everything is living and has a spirit. We are connected to all these living creatures whether they are animals, plants, all of nature, and the macrocosm of the universe. Shamanism is essentially a spiritual (not religious) practice that involves the Shaman interacting with the spiritual energy to help heal the person in this physical world.

Shamanic energy medicine can help you change your life whether you need healing from physical problems or emotional distress, changing your behavioral patterns, relief from trauma or loss, removing ancestral energy or karma, finding your life’s goal, and primarily in recovering your true destiny.

Each Shamanic service is personalized according to the needs of the client. Trust that as your Shamanic Energy Medicine Practitioner, I spiritually connect with the energetic realms for wisdom and healing for your highest good.

Balancing Your Chakras
Your seven chakras are spinning vortexes of light where energy is received and released. Each chakra has a specific location and is shaped like a funnel. The narrow tips of the funnel connect to the spinal cord and the wider tips extend about 2+ inches outside of the body. Each chakra contains memories of events that happened in your life. When one is harmed, it loses its vital resources. Balancing them helps to gently release these toxic wounds and past trauma.

Shamanic Extraction
An extraction is a deep energetic clearing that removes negative energies that have been rooted in the body for a long time and may be causing illness, misfortune, or inability to move forward in life. We often refer to relationships that people have with other people, whether positive or negative, as “ties” to that person. There are indeed energetic ties that can often be detrimental to our wellbeing which the Shaman can release so that you can become more aligned with your true self. Written by Dr. Joe Dispenza:
One of the main reasons people talk poorly about their past is because their present life isn’t working. Living in the past also validates all the traumas & betrayals we’ve had in our life. What most people don’t realize, however, is that when we excuse ourselves for what someone did or something that happened to us, we give away our power to that person, thing, or event in the past, and as a result, we give away our power and ability to change.
Let’s face it, we’ve all had traumas, shocks, and betrayals in our life which have created strong emotional charges; the stronger the emotional reaction you have to someone or something, the more you pay attention to the cause. When something with such a strong emotional quotient occurs in our life, the brain freezes the scene and takes a snapshot of the event. Now the picture becomes holographically embossed in our neural circuitry. This is the normal process of how a long-term memory is created. Our problems begin when we continuously think within the boundaries of that past experience’s circuitry and feel within the chemicals of that past emotion. When we think and feel for long enough within the confines of the event’s neurochemistry, it ultimately becomes our state of being. That’s because thoughts are the language of the brain and feelings are the language of the body. And how we think and how we feel creates our state of being.
If you wake up in the morning and start to think about your problems, the moment you think about the memory of that problem, you’re thinking in the past. Since each memory has an emotion associated with it, the moment you feel that emotion, the body is now in the past. As a result, when you feel unhappy, frustrated, sad, or deflated from the memories of your problems, your body doesn’t know the difference between the real life event or the memory that is creating those emotions. If those negative emotions are driving your thoughts, and you can’t think greater than how you feel, you are thinking in the past. Becoming aware is the first step to breaking this cycle. The book “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself” is a great tool for this.

The current conditions in our country have left most of us feeling anxious and worried about our health and our future. This affects our nervous systems. The nervous system is perhaps the most important part of the body. The roles it serves are crucial for perceiving and responding to the world around us. Our nervous systems allow our body to respond to stimuli and coordinate important bodily functions. These are the parts of the body in which you make decisions and evaluate the world. When we are in a state of frustration, fear, or worry, our sympathetic nervous system triggers our 'Fight or Flight" response which doesn't turn off easily or automatically when stressful situations persist. Many people are in the state of their sympathetic nervous system maintaining a constant degree of stress which causes a multitude of health problems. It can affect sleep, digestion, decision making, communication, pain management, as well as worsen health conditions. It's important to take care of yourself especially during times like this. Massage, bodywork, and various forms of energy work can help to release your sympathetic nervous system response and move that energy out of your body and shift it toward the para-sympathetic nervous system. The parasympathetic nervous system helps calm the body by slowing heart and breathing rates, restore good digestion, supports relief of symptoms of pain or illness, and helps give us a sense of well being in these difficult times. This is the time to do the best thing for your body and your health. Our office at ONE Wellness Center goes above and beyond health and safety guidelines in maintaining a secure and sanitary environment for our clients.
