In honor of Maternal Health Awareness Day, Minnesota bridges and structures in the following areas will illuminate in purple to remember the lives lost due to pregnancy-associated deaths: Capella Tower, Carillon Tower, City of Rochester City Hall Dome, Sperry Tower, US Bank Stadium, I-35 St. Anthony Falls Bridge, and Lowry Avenue Bridge.

Extreme cold can be dangerous. This weekend, Rochester Public Transit is offering “A Warm Place to Be,” allowing people to board an RPT bus without paying a fare to safely warm up.

The program runs from Thursday morning, January 22, through Sunday, January 25. Riders can simply let the driver know they need to get out of the cold.
