🏆 We’re proud to share that Rochester General Hospital has once again been named one of the Best Regional Hospitals in our area—and one of the top 15 hospitals in New York State—by U.S. News and World Report in their 2025 rankings!

On top of that—RGH was also recognized as high-performing in 21 areas of care (‼️), including Urology, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Back Surgery (Spinal Fusion), Aortic Valve Surgery, Gynecologic Cancer, Heart Bypass Surgery, COPD, Diabetes, Heart Failure, Heart Attack, Hip & Knee Replacement, Kidney Failure, Leukemia, Lymphoma & Myeloma, Lung Cancer Surgery, Pneumonia, Prostate Cancer Surgery, Stroke, TAVR, Heart Arrhythmia, and Pacemaker Implantation.

Our Rochester General Hospital nurses have officially earned their fifth Magnet® Re-Designation—a recognition awarded to fewer than 90 hospitals across the country!

This moment was years in the making, and it reflects the incredible dedication, skill, and compassion of our nurses—along with the support of teams throughout the hospital who helped make it happen.

🫄FREE Childbirth Education Classes Now Available through RGH!

Whether you're welcoming your first baby or expanding your family, our in-person and virtual childbirth classes are here to support you every step of the way.

Led by doula and perinatal educator Kerry Snyder-Torres, RN, these classes are open to both RGH patients and all community members — no insurance or RGH affiliation required.

Class options include:

☑️ Third Trimester Prenatal Series (4-week, in-person or virtual)

☑️ Second Trimester Prenatal Class (1 class, 2.5 hours, in-person)

☑️ Supporting Labor (1 class, 3 hours, in-person)

☑️ Induction Information (1 class, 1.5 hours, virtual)

A huge THANK YOU to the Rochester Americans for stopping by our 4100 and 4200 units at Rochester General Hospital with free lunches as part of the lead-up to their Hometown Heroes Night on March 28! 🙌

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like the Amerks for going out of their way to recognize and support our community’s first responders and frontline workers - including doctors, nurses, EMTs, police officers, firefighters, military members, and veterans.

This month, local Girl Scouts became lifesavers-in-training at Rochester Regional Health’s Stroke Superstar event! 🧠

These scouts, ages 9-13, earned the first-ever 🌟 RRH Stroke Superstar Fun Patch 🌟 by learning to spot stroke signs and call 911 fast. With stroke rates rising in younger adults, this knowledge can save lives!

Huge thanks to Girl Scouts of Western New York for partnering with us to empower the next generation with lifesaving skills!

We’re pleased to share that Rochester General Hospital has once again been designated as a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation - marking 15 years of excellence in providing advanced, patient-centered care in surgical gynecology!

Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery is transforming care for patients in our communities by offering smaller incisions for less pain and scarring, faster recovery times and, lower risk of complications compared to traditional surgery.

Common conditions that can be treated with minimally invasive surgery include:

✔️ Endometriosis
✔️ Heavy menstrual bleeding
✔️ Uterine fibroids
✔️ Uterine prolapse

In honor of Black History Month, we hosted a special art pop-up in the Rochester General Hospital lobby last week!

Featuring works from local artists of the Rochester Black Arts Council, including Alicia Astacio, LUJAR, Mhekka Ramadan, Will Robinson, and Dominique Simmonds, the display showcased a stunning collection of pieces celebrating Black Excellence through culture, history, and creativity.

Visitors had the opportunity to experience powerful visual storytelling, highlighting the talent and perspectives of local Black artists.

Thank you to the Rochester Black Arts Council and all who stopped by to appreciate and support this meaningful exhibit!
