Together with partners from Monroe County DHS and UConn School of Social Work, they showcased "Strengthening Family-Centered Reunification Through Collaborative & Trauma-Informed Approaches."

Summer means fun in the sun AND it often means that the referrals to SPCC increase. Access to structure and resources can be more limited outside of the school year, which enhances the need for our programs and services. It has been an amazing 3 days in Albany with SPCC’s Healthy Families Monroe & Teenage Parent Support Services staff, learning how to best support young children and their caregivers. To quote Dr. Clinton Boyd, you are the “Soul stirrers of possibility” in our community.

Special shoutout to Program Manager Leah Klehr Kaufman for her presentation on using children’s film to help identify and process feelings and experiences with families. It was amazing!

We are SO thankful for the individuals, and employees from OledWorks and Eveland Group, who volunteered for United Way’s Day of Caring at SPCC! These generous volunteers spent their day refreshing our offices with landscaping, organizational, and clean-up help! Thank you for your kindness! ❤️
