This is not an easy thing; It takes practice.
It starts with redirecting your attention to things and people that bring you happiness, support and joy. Stop focusing on what’s missing, who’s not there for you. Internal peace begins with learning who shows up for you when you are going through some s**t. This way you learn who the takers are in your life and who has genuine ❤️ for you

We have never been in a Pandemic before. We have all lost security (human connections are forced to change, financial, uncertainty regarding employment) and feeling safe (for some to even leave their homes). Our reality’s are completely different. We don’t know how long this pandemic will last. We are worried about loved ones health and our own health. Our world is completely thrown upside down. So if you find yourself not able to concentrate, feeling anxious, wandering around your home and feeling like you accomplish nothing. Know you are not alone. We are all experiencing the same thing at the same time! Everyone is doing their best. You are doing your best! It’s time to practice self love and self care💕. Daily do 1 thing that shows love to yourself that helps you feel good about yourself. It can be reading a book, listening to podcasts (I recommend Brene brown’s new podcast and super soul by Oprah), taking a bath, taking a walk, calling a friend/family member to talk about your struggles, playing games with significant others and/or children, home beauty treatments. Whatever it is, do something daily. Be kind to yourself; talk kindly to yourself.

The chaos and panic that many are experiencing and witnessing can be a trigger for personal trauma. We are all wired with survival responses, which are triggered during times of unpredictably. I encourage people to reach out for mental health services, if they are experiencing an increase anxiety, panic, and PTSD. Many therapists are offering tele health sessions. Mental health is essential.

During this high anixety time, try to take some time to focus on the slightest positive things globally, community wise, family and individually. Anixety is felt mentally and physically in adults and children. If your child’s behavior is more hyper then normal it could be their way of showing their anxiety and need for comfort. Their lives have changed just as much as the adults with out the understanding of what is going on around them and in the world.

Anxiety is experienced mentally and physically. It can stop our daily functionally. However, learning to manage the anxiety instead of it controlling you is key.

Having compassion starts with yourself first. I always say: you have to be with yourself until the day you die, it’s better to love yourself then hate yourself.”
If you love and accept yourself, then you will embrace those around you with love. If you tear yourself down, then you will judge, criticize those around you.
The way we treat others is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves.

As an adult: You Can Stop Generational Patterns! The journey is not easy however you can do it through small decisions, setting boundaries-especially with it being the holiday season. It’s okay if you need to limit your time with extended family members or not see them at all for your mental health. Everyone has different family situations; just know you have the power and control to change patterns that have happened in your family for generations.

Finding your purpose and journey in YOUR LIFE takes patience and soul searching.

Especially when it comes to life changes and/or behavioral changes; it can be a slow process. We may not like our situation but we can stay there longer then we should because it’s predictable and comfortable.

Change is hard; sometimes to make changes we need to let go of people that meant so much to us but want us to stay in our “miserable” situations/relationships.

Self grow can threaten others 🤔. That’s why seeking approval from others and not ourselves creates internal struggles
