The rehab team is so critical in aiding our residents to regain independence and get back home. In the 39 years that Kirkhaven has been serving the Rochester community, the rehab team’s drive to help residents has not changed, as demonstrated in this Kirkhaven: Then and Now.

At Kirkhaven, we have an employee recognition program called Caught in the Act of Caring, where residents, families, and staff can acknowledge a Kirkhaven staff member when they have gone above and beyond.
Shannon Grice, LPN, has been Caught in the Act of Caring!
"Even before she “officially” joined the Kirkhaven team and was an agency LPN, I could see she was a team player. I couldn’t say enough good things about her! She genuinely cared and listened. And still does! She continues to always listen to any concern or question about resident, collaborates with other disciplines and teaches colleagues along the way. I appreciate her being on Kirkhaven’s team and I know others do as well. Thank you for all you do!"- Kirkhaven Staff Member

This week is National Payroll Week! Let's take a moment to recognize Mary Scorsone, Kirkhaven's Payroll Manager of 39 years!
How would you describe your job?
"My job is to accurately and timely pay the employees."
How long have you been at Kirkhaven?
"I started in February 1984, taking a position in Purchasing. On my first day, Jim DeVoe asked if I had any payroll experience, and that’s how I started my payroll career. What keeps me here is having supervisors who have been supportive. I also love working with good co-workers and that every day is different."
Mary, thank you for 39 years of dedication!
Thank you, Seneca Park Zoo, for bringing the wonders of the animal kingdom to Kirkhaven. We learned so many interesting things about all the different creatures you brought to us, which included a gecko, turtle, armadillo and a giant rabbit.
