Novak Industries Inc. is looking to hire a full time FedEx Ground Delivery Driver.
Novak Industries is a contracted service provider for FedEx Ground. We deliver and pick up thousands of FedEx ground packages in the City of Rochester, Irondequoit, and Brighton every day. Our company is quickly growing, and changing to keep up with the growing demands of the ecommerce markets.
This is a full time position, delivering FedEx Ground packages for Novak Industries. We are looking to hire drivers with the ability to work 4-6 days Monday - Saturday (specific days are dependent on the company's needs at that time).

What are the minimum requirements for this position? - You must be 21 years old to be a driver with a valid driver's license. Following your application you will be subject to a motor vehicle record check, DOT drug screening,criminal background check, and DOT physical. You will also need to pass a road test. In addition you will need at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience for an employer. Some examples of driving experience might be Uber, Lyft, pizza delivery, company vehicles, mobile sales, construction, landscaping, some military service, CDL driving etc. We also lift packages up to 150 Lbs, and constantly move at a fast pace. Being self motivated will allow you to excel in this independent position.
What are the daily job duties? - An example of a typical day would be arriving at the terminal at 7:30AM and loading your vehicle in a systematic order with your deliveries for the day. Once dispatching you would make deliveries to commercial and residential addresses. Each day there will be scheduled pickups with specific time windows. After completing deliveries and pickups you would return to the terminal. This usually varies somewhere between 3:30PM, and 6:30PM. Many things can affect this such as changing volume, weather conditions, and dispatch times. Based on company needs you may also be used as a driver helper to assist other drivers with delivering.
Where do I report to work each day? - The terminal we dispatch from is located just off the NYS thruway in Farmington NY.
How much am I going to earn, and what benefits are available? - We start drivers at a day salary of $130/ day. On top of your base salary you would receive $1 for each stop delivered in a day exceeding 100 stops when driving. Monthly bonus opportunities are available based on good safety and service. Benefits include paid vacation after 1 year of full time service, 401k, and employee sponsored health care.
Do I need a CDL? - No CDL is required for this position.
Am I paid for holidays? - Holidays are not paid, but once you accrue paid vacation you may use it for holidays if you would like.
What is a DOT Physical? - A DOT physical exam is the evaluation required in order to operate a commercial vehicle. It is referred to as a “medical fitness for duty” examination, which ensures that each driver is capable and healthy enough to successfully complete the duties associated with commercial driving.
